Kampung Rambutan Reservoir to Be Recreation Site

Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo reviewed Kampung Rambutan Reservoir construction on Jalan Bungur, Kampung Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas Sub-District, East Jakarta on Tueday (5/20).

There will be jogging track and benches in the sides, all reservoirs will be constructed like that

The Kampung Rambutan Reservoir will be built on a land of eight hectare area, and now is currently being constructed 2,6 hectare.

“It is currently being worked 2,6 hectare, and going to be widen again to be 5 until 6 hectare area, it will not be tarried, it will be worked continuously,” said Jokowi who also tried to operate excavator in Kampung Rambutan Reservoir.

City to Accelerate Brigif Reservoir Construction

This reservoir is expected to reduce flood in some East Jakarta areas passed by Cipinang River such as Kampung Rambutan, Dukuh, Jagorawi, Makasar, Halim until Cawang underpass.

Besides this reservoir, there will be also green open space and recreation site for public. “There will be jogging track and benches in the sides, all reservoirs will be constructed like that,” Jokowi complained.
