Achieved Highest UN Score, Ryan still Not Get Scholarship Offers

Even though achieved the highest score in Senior High School (SMA) National Exam (UN) in Indonesia, Ryan Aditya Moniaga (18), a student of Kolese Kanisius, Menteng Raya Urban Village, Menteng Sub-District, Central Jakarta, still not receive scholarship offers, either domestic as well as abroad, until now. His score is 58.05, which is highest in Indonesia for Science Major.

“I didn’t believe when my father said I got the highest UN score. I’m so happy. But now I’m focused on getting into university, because my target is Industrial Technique Major in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), so I have to take more concern,” he said, Tuesday (5/20).

SMA Kolose Kanisius Headmaster, Pastor Y Heru Hendarto SJ, told not too surprised seeing one of his students becomes the best in national level. He also admitted that no scholarship offers yet for Ryan.

“No scholarship offers yet, perhaps because many still not know it. The offer probably comes after UN result is announced on May 24,” he expressed.

According to Hendarto, Ryan is a clever student. In fact, his classroom mates trusted him as tutor for Chemistry subject.
