81 high school students in Jakarta did not pass National Examination (UN) this year. 12 students failed for science (IPA) subject and 69 students failed for social (IPS) subject.

The score is quite good, eventually there is our student who gets the highest score nationally

Head Section for curriculum of City Education Department, Budianto, explained that of 49,372 students or 99,84 percent passed the test and there were only 81 students or 0,16 percent who failed the test. Even though the City Education Department targeted the passing to reach 100 percent previously, the current result is quite satisfying since the teaching and learning process had been conducted maximally. “The passing grade reaches 99,84 percent,” said Budianto, Tuesday (5/20).

Budianto detailed the passing grade in each area, namely East Jakarta reached 99,89 percent, South Jakarta 99,87 reached percent, West Jakarta reached 99,85 percent, Central Jakarta 99,76 reached percent, and North Jakarta 99,70 reached percent.

City Education Dept Forbids Students Celebrating UN by Convoying

The Education Department also noted that one student, named Ryan Aditya Moniaga, from SMA Kolose Kanisius, Central Jakarta, got the highest score of 58,05 for IPA subject. Meanwhile the average score for IPA is 7,37, IPS is 6,96, and Bahasa Indonesia is 7,49. The total average score in the city for all subjects is 7,26.“The score is quite good, eventually there is our student who gets the highest score nationally,” stated Budianto.

The UN passing announced simultaneously today, and it can be checked through Education Department website since 12 AM. This thing is done to avoid scratching or convoying that could lead to brawl. As an anticipation step, the City Education Department has sent a letter to City Metro Police to control the passing celebration.
