S. Jakarta to Kick Off Gambang Kromong Festival

South Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept is scheduled to hold the Gambang Kromong Festival on November 12, 2016. As planned, the festival will be staged on the yard of Cipedak Urban Village, Jagakarsa.

Head of South Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept, Driah Triastuti disclosed, as many as 14 studios of Gambang Kromong art will be involved in the festival. They are Silibet, Setia Muda, Bunga Cimpedak, Setu Babakan, Ji'ih, Saung Balaga, Dendang Jakarta, Mustika Jaya, Naga Putih, Fajar Ikhyah, and Gaya Muda.
Aside that, a number of schools that have Gambang Kromong extracurricular would also enliven the festival that is the first time held.

The first winner will get coaching money Rp 4,000,000, second winner Rp 3,500,000 and third winner Rp 3,000,000. Then for the first runner-up will get Rp 2,500,000 and second runner-up Rp 2.000.000.
"After festival, the winners will also be empowered," he said.
