City Students Achieve Overall Champion of SMP OSN 2014

Jakarta City contingent successfully captured overall champion title at Junior High School (SMP) National Science Olympic (OSN) 2014 which take place in Padang, North Sumatera, 5th to 20th May. Jakarta City contingent defeated Central Java and West Java contingent that placing second and third position.

SMP/SMA Education Section Head of Jakarta Education Department, Andri Kunarso said, Jakarta City contingent strengthened by 41 students from private and state Junior High School in the city. The studies of this competition are Mathematics, Physics, Social Science and Biology.
The contingent were successfully achieve 3 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals for Mathematics. Then, 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal for Physics, and 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals for Biology.

Andri said, the students of Jakarta City contingent came from SMPK 4,5,7, Penabur, SMPK Ipeka Tomang 2, SMPK Kolose Kanisius, SMP Islam Al Azhar 19, SMPK Tarakanita 2, SMPK Santa Maria, SMPK Sint Pieter, SMPN 9, SMPN 115, SMPN 2.
