City to Find Solution About Budget Shortfall for MRT

Jakarta Provincial Government ensured will find solution to cover the budget shortfall on project of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), which reached Rp 2.56 trillion.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono disclosed will immediately send a letter to Bappenas and Home Ministry. Thus the loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) can be added.
"We need more budget by Rp 2.56 trillion. If it can be done, it would be discussed with Bappenas," he stated, at HI Roundabout, Tuesday (11/15).
MRT Land Buying Process Targeted to Complete DecemberHe explains, the additional budget source can be taken from some of the funding. But to match the previous budget, loan from JICA is expected to be added.
"The choice source could be executed from anywhere. The thing that is possible to connect with the budget is loan," he told.
Nevertheless, there are other alternatives if the loan from JICA cannot be added. One of them is by using budget from Jakarta APBD.
"Use alternative APBD if the situation is urgent," he finished.
