60 Heavy Equipments Added at Bantar Gebang

Jakarta Cleanliness Dept has added heavy equipment at the Bantar Gebang Landfill which aims to optimize the landfill management by means of self.

There were previously only 15 heavy equipments. And now we add them 45 units. Totally, we have 60 equipments. They have been operated to Bantar Gebang

It is targeted able to parse queue and cut waiting time of the dump truck when they dispose garbage to Bantar Gebang.

Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Dept, Isnawa Adji disclosed sent 45 heavy equipements to handle garbage at Bantar Gebang. The procurement was through 2016 APBD.

In details, he stated, the type of heavy equipments that added is excavator with 18 units, dozer with 14 units, long-arm excavator with 2 units, wheel loader with 6 units and refuse compactor with 5 units.

"There were previously only 15 heavy equipments. And now we add them 45 units. Totally, we have 60 equipments. They have been operated to Bantar Gebang," he stated, Sunday (11/27).

He explains the total number of heavy equipment that used is already the sane with a number of heavy equipment that was previously used by private managers.

Head of Integrated Garbage Management Site (UPST) for Jakarta Cleanliness Deptm, Asep Kuswanto added that his side tries to fix the management of Bantar Gebang. Jakarta Provincial Government, he told, does takeover of Bantar Gebang management on July 2016 from the third party, because the previous management was deemed unoptimal.

"Currently, we've added heavy equipment, repaired the road inside and garbage management installation and built car wash. The important thing is we will apply the right sanitary landfill standard," he finished.
