Flat Occupants in North Jakarta Threatened to Be Evicted

As many as 212 Families in north Jakarta low cost apartment (rusun/flats) are threatened to be evicted due to a plan to control flat occupants. There are hundreds occupants of rusun Marunda and Muara Baru are still not provide ownership agreement letter (SP).

We are still searching occupants who do not have SP, we will raid the unit if they still not have it at least until June

From Rusun Unit Data Management (UPRS) region 1, there are 142 occupants of Marunda flats that are still not provide SP as a requirement to occupy the flats. With details, as many as 70 people in Cluster B and 72 people in cluster C. While for Muara Baru flats there are 70 out of 400 units total that are still not provide SP.

UPRS Head Region 1 of Dept. of Public Houses, Buildings and Jakarta Government Assets, Maharyadi said, starts from next June, he will control flat occupants that are still not provide SP. This is an effort to control flat occupants from residents that suppose to have flat units.

12 Units of Marunda Flat Unloaded

“One requirement to provide SP is to own City ID Card. We are still searching occupants who do not have SP, we will raid the unit if they still not have it at least until June ,” Maharyadi asserted, Saturday (5/24).

According to him, UPRS authorities keep forcing occupants to provide SP. While for resident’s administration completeness, Population and Civil Register (Dukcapil) Sub-Department will occupy special service unit in Marunda low cost apartment.

“We have been emptied 72 unit of Marunda low cost apartment along 2014,” he expressed.

North Jakarta Population and Civil Register Department (Dukcapil) Head, Edison Sianturi said that his authority is trying to conduct jemput bola service (visiting the occupant). About 2,300 occupants have had their ID card issued in 2013 ago.

“We're working to issue 254 Cluster C occupants' ID card. Our officer will stay in Marunda flat for two weeks ahead,” he stated.
