North Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management dredges the Tirem River, Tanjung Priok Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district. It is targeted the effort to complete this month.

Acting Head Section of Water Management for Tanjung Priok Sub-district, Rukmana, admitted the existing depth of the river is less than one meter. The river will be deepened up to six meters.

Meanwhile, Tanjung Priok Urban Village Head, Ma’mun, stated the river was never been dredged since 90’s. He predicted the effort will be able to minimize puddle in five urban villages.
“The positive impact can be felt in Tanjung Priok, Kebon Bawang, Sungai Bambu up to Sunter Agung Urban Villages,” he closed.
