2017, MRT Construction Accelerated

PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta will accelerate the construction of MRT in the upcoming 2017.

Next year, MRT will be accelerated. It will have an impact on congestion disorders

Director of PT MRT Jakarta, William P Sabandar disclosed, all projects will be completed next year and is targeted to reach 36 percent.

"Next year, MRT will be accelerated. It will have an impact on congestion disorders," he stated, in the office of PT MRT Jakarta, Jalan MH Thamrin, Wednesday (12/14).

He recorded, until November 30, the whole work has reached 60.22 percent, with details flyover structure reached 42.7 percent and underground structure 77.8 percent.

"It is targeted to be operated in February 2019. So all must be done in 2018," he expressed.

William added that the construction must be complete within one year prior to operational. Thus, in July 2018, it is hoped all can be finished. "The project must be completed in one year prior to operational, precisely in July," he stated.

In one year, will be used for MRT operational trial in order to avoid any problems in future. "We will do trial for four months," he finished.
