400 West Jakarta Satpol PP Prepared to Evict PMKS

Ahead of fasting month of Ramadan, West Jakarta Satpol PP is going to deploy 400 personnel to block four entrances which often passed by people with social welfare issues (PMKS) to get into the capital city. Those entrances are located in Tambora, Cengkareng, Grogol Petamburan, and Kalideres sub-districts.

The netted PMKS will be recorded and taken to social institutions to be given legal insights on Bylaw No. 8/2007 about Public Order. If they ignored it, they will be charged under scam article, as instructed by Mr. Vice Governor

“We’ll also send personnel to oversee the Kalideres and Grogol terminals, West Jakarta. Both terminals are the centrals to the mobilization of PMKS from areas outside Jakarta, such as Sumatra and Java,” stated Head of West Jakarta Satpol PP, Kadiman Sitinjak, Monday (5/26).

Later in those terminals, the officers will check each passenger’s ID card and ask their intention and purpose coming to Jakarta if they do not have Jakarta ID cards.

Anticipation Prepared to Minimize PMKS in E. Jakarta

Sitinjak asserted that the effort to prevent PMKS from entering Jakarta is not sole responsibility of Satpol PP, but it is the responsibility of all related units, like social sub-departments and law enforcer. Hence, his party will hold coordination meeting to discuss preventive efforts.

“I’m urging to immediately hold coordination meeting with social sub-departments and law enforcer to determine the preventive steps against PMKS entering the capital city,” he uttered.
