Odd-Even Traffic System Evaluation Based on 3 Indicators

Jakarta Dept. of Transportation forwarded the evaluation of odd-even traffic system. The evaluation is based on three indicators.

Those three indicators are traveling time, number of Transjakarta passenger, and vehicle speed.

Andri Yansyah, agency’s head, admitted the three indicators shown good result.

ERP Traffic System must Be Applied in Jakarta

“It’s not about success or not. We have three indicators to assess,” he said Tuesday (12/27).

He explained, the traveling time before trial was 18 minutes, during trial was 14.6 minutes, and 14.3 minutes during the system running.

The vehicle speed before trial was 24.16 km/h, 28.8 km/h for trial, and 29.5 km/h during the system implementation.

The third indicator, Transjakarta passenger at corridor I (Blok M-Kota) was 53,471 people before trial, 70,850 people during trial, and 74,358 people during the system implementation.

At corridor VI (Ragunan-Dukuh Atas), passenger number was 22,517 people before trial, 28,636 people during trial, and 34,522 people during system implementation.

At corridor IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit), passenger number was 32,302 people before trial, 42,170 people during trial, and 47,944 people during system implementation.

“Odd-even is a transition system before applying ERP,” he closed.
