Garbage Volume During New Year Predicted to Reach 250 Tons

Jakarta Cleanliness Dept preditcs garbage volume during New Year's Eve will reach between 200-250 tons. Seeing this, thousands of janitors will be spread at some points that crowded by people who want to celebrate New Year's Eve.

Jakarta Cleanliness Detp Head, Isnawa Adji disclosed 6,000 janitors will be prepared to clean garbage during New Year's Eve.

"We predict garbage on New Year's Eve will hit between 200-250 tons," he predicted, Saturday (12/31).

There are some points that prone to garbage, such as at Monas, Jalan Thamrin, Jalan Sudirman, Kemayoran, Kota Tua, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), HI Roundabiut, Tugu Tani, and Ancol.

"Aside that, we also monitor protocol roads," he told.

Those janitors that will be sent are street sweeper, garbagebsweeping team, garbage motor cart crew and its driver, compactor truck, street sweeper truck, etc.

"Garbage will be domintard by plastic, packaged rice meal box, styrofoam, etc. It is predicted may reach 80 percent," he said.
