3,700 Animals in C. Jakarta Targeted to Be Vaccinated This year

3,700 rabies-spreading animals (HPR) in Central Jakarta are targeted will be vaccinated this year. This number has increased up to 45 percent than last year, which were 2,600 animals. 

Hopefully, it can exceed target up to 4,200 animals, because last year we managed to vaccinate 2,600 animals

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. Head, Bayu Sari Hastuti disclosed, vaccination is focused on dog, cat, weasel, and monkey. He is optimistic this year's vaccination can exceed target.

100 Animals in Sukapura Vaccinated

"Hopefully, it can exceed target up to 4,200 animals, because last year we managed to vaccinate 2,600 animals," he stated, Monday (1/30).

Until now, his side has vaccinated 340 animals, consisting of 123 dogs, 211 cats, 2 monkeys and 4 weasels. According to him, there are three sub-districts prone to animals infected by rabies, such as Kemayoran, Sawah Besar and Gambir.

He went on the say that, it is slated will be done by door to door, starting from January-December, except Ramadhan.

"We coordinate with the sub-district Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Section to make a schedule and determine which urban villages will get jemput bola service for vaccination," he finished.
