Dozens of mothers living in Pulogebang Flat, East Jakarta began pioneering the business of creative economic. They incorporated in Sulam Mutiara RPG Group can already produce a number of variants of handicraft products.

Irma Gamai Sinurat, Vice Chairwomen of Product Competitiveness Section, Jakarta National Handicraft Council (Dekranasda) disclosed had done guidance at the flat last year. Besides giving sewing embroidery training, she also gave assistance to the mothers.

"The handicraft results will be combined with embroidery. By so, the product will have high selling value," she stated, Tuesday (2/7).

To finalize the product results, guidance and assistance keeps being given to them. "We'll help them in terms of marketing and how to reach retail business. At the flat, there should be a gallery that will be a economic center of creative and designer or other consumers easily access it," she expressed.

Endang Rahmi Ningsih, a companion group of Sulam Mutiara added there are 20 mothers involved in such guidance. They are actively producing in between busy as a housewife.

"It needs tenacity and patience to encourage them. And now, they have mastered various techniques," she stated.

Those are able to produce variants of handicraft products such as hoods, tablecloths, brooch lace, embroidery brooches, hair clips, handbags, beautiful bags, aprons, silk ribbon and satin ribbon.

They could also combine embroidery results with with women's shoes and slippers. As planned, it will involve the shoe business from products from other flats residents.

"Our production like tablecloths and hoods can be 30 and brooch 50 per month. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), last December until January 2017, many have already booked our products," she finished.
