Flooding in Three Urban Villages in E. Jakarta Receded

Flooding as high as one meter that hit three urban villages in two sub-districts, East Jakarta finally has receded after Ciliwung River overflowed yesterday.

Cawang Urban Village Head, Haerudin disclosed flooding has submerged six RWs in his region. Those are RW 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 08 and 12.

"Flash floods arrived at 10.30 AM yesterday. But this morning, it has receded," he stated, Monday (2/13). 

Flooding in Some Areas Receded

Bidara Cina Urban Village Secretary, Siti Mulyati stated similar condition was also spotted in RT 05/07 and 06/11. The water inundated them up to one meter. 

"This morning, the water level is only leaving 30 centimeters," she expressed.

While Kampung Melayu Urban Village Head, Setyawan disclosed, it occurred in RW 04 and 05 as high as one meter. Then the peak of the flooding was firstly seen yesterday afternoon.  

"Water starts to recede at dawn. And now the water level only reaches 30-50 centimeters," he finished.
