Levee on East Side of Untung Jawa Island Repaired

We repair the leeve to avoid abrasion that has been occurred lately

Due to abrasion, a levee located on the east side of Untung Jawa Island began to be repaired. It will be executed by adding the levee's bronjong (rocks wrapped in plaited wires).

"We repair the levee to avoid abrasion that has been occurred lately," expressed Mustajab, Head of Seribu Islands Natural Resources Sub-dept., Thursday (2/6).

Levees on Four Islands Repaired

Mustajab stated bronjong would be straightened up to 30 meters long, but still giving space for boat access.

"We use rock material which is still under auction stage worth Rp 1 billion. Hopefully, we can sign a contract by the end of this month," he hoped.

In addition, his party also plans to use the faulty bronjong at three points and add more breakwaters on the east side. "If the contract is still in one package with Tidung Island and Sebira Island this year," he finished.
