Council Supports Inclusive School In Sub-District

Provision of inclusive schools in every sub-district in Jakarta gets support from City Council (DPRD).

"We are completely supporting the idea to provide inclusive school in every sub-district," said Pantas Nainggolan, Head of City Council Commission E, Monday (2/20).

All citizens, he stated, especially in Jakarta, have the right to get good and proper education, including students with disabilities.

"We must support the school, because children with disabilities also have the capability to be proud," he expressed.

For information, City Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama asked to provide inclusive school's facilities from elementary to senior high school in every sub-district.

"Many of children with disabilities can't go to school. Even if any school is far, they cannot go. The near one is owned by private party, so it is expensive," he uttered, at City Hall.
