Floods on Jl. Kartini Raya, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta began to recede gradually and can already be passed.

The current condition is conducive. And now the motorist is no longer hampered because of the floods

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede disclosed it is triggered by heavy water flow in Ciliwung River Lama. The whole sluice gate is closed to prevent water overflowing into Jl. Gunung Sahari Raya.

"Around 6 AM, water level has hit the head of the sheet pile. That's why we had to close all sluice gates. But the impact of flooding suddenly struck Jl. Kartini up to 50 cm," stated Pardede, when he reviewed the location, Tuesday (2/21).

In line with reduction in water level in rivers, floods also gradually recede. Until 10 AM, water on the street could already flow back into the river.

"The current condition is conducive. And now the motorist is no longer hampered because of the floods," he closed.
