6 Container Trucks Passing on Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Ticketed

The ranks of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, police, and PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP) personnel hold raid against container trucks on Wiyoto Wiyono Toll road, Thursday (6/5). In the raid, six container trucks were ticketed because their cargos exceeded the standard of feasibility test.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Arifin Hamonangan, said that for now those trucks are only given tickets. But after two months of socialization, container trucks which cargos still exceed the standard of feasibility test will be given severe sanction.
“We’ll do evaluation first. After the socialization process, if there were still container trucks violated the rule, we’ll put the vehicles on ground or have their permits revoked,” he stated.
10 Taxis Ticketed on Jalan RA KartiniHamonangan explained that the raid is carried out in accordance with feasibility test. This is similar to container truck which has a length of 20 feet, by imposing limitation of 10 tons.
“But we will also check how many total vehicle weight limit in the feasibility test book. Besides, we are still in the phase of socialization. The certainty will be conducted after the evaluation,” he uttered.
As reported before, starting today, container trucks weighing 10 tons or more are prohibited to pass on Wiyono Wiyoto Toll road. The policy is applied because it is worried that the toll road construction would damage if constantly passed by heavy tonnage vehicles. This policy is also a follow up implementation of Transportation Ministry Regulation No. 14/2007 on Container Vehicles on the Road.
