Consumer Grievance Posts will Be Opened in Each Region

Citu Dept. of Small Medium Enterprise Cooperative and Trade(KUKMP) will open consumer grievance post in each region's sub-dept. offices. Later on, the incoming report will be followed-up by Consumer Dispute Protection Board (BPSK).

With that post, BPSK also can be proactive to follow up

City KUKMP Dept. Head, Irwandi said grievance post is made to ease citizen who wants to complain related to company's product.

He added that for all this time, there are many citizens who still have troubled to sue the matter with producers thus can not follow up their complaints.

Cooperative Supervision in Jakarta Tightened

"With that post, BPSK also can be proactive to follow up. Complaints must be follow up to producers," he said, Tuesday (4/4).

He explained that during 2016, BPSK received 112 reports. From that amount, 26 cases were already mediated, 26 are consolidated, 15 went to the arbitration court and the rest are still in the process.

"Most of complaints are related to loan," he closed.
