Every Week, 68 Cubic Meters of Garbage Transported From Pari Island

A motorboat from Pari Island, South Seribu Islands every week, transports at least 68 cubic meters of garbage. It is conducted in two stages.

"We transport garbage once every two weeks. Per day, we are able to pick up 34 cubic meters of garbage," expressed Bambang Sumantri, an officer of the motorboat, Saturday (4/8).

According to Sumantri, after being transported, garbage would be transferred to a big-sized boat. And then they bring it to Kaliadem.

In the meantime, Pari Island Urban Village Head, Surahman disclosed, prior to transportation, garbage is kept in the temporary garbage disposal site (TPS). If it is full, the boat will pick up them.

"We use a motor cart to do transportation and sent to the garbage boat," he finished.
