City Secretary, Saefullah is optimistic there would be many private buildings put Betawi ornaments. It is according to Bylaw No. 229/2016 on Preservation of Betawi Culture and Gubernatorial Regulation No. 1/2017 on Betawi Culture Icon.
Since the regulation is issued, we keep intensifying socialization
Betawi Ornaments Applied to Private Buildings in Jakarta
"Since the regulation is issued, we keep intensifying socialization," he stated, Friday (4/14).
He also positively welcomes input from City Council that revealing private buildings could participate the program.
"When they (private party) process permit, we directly tell them to put Betawi ornaments. I believe, it will run maximally," he expressed.
As reported earlier, a member of City Council Commission B, Probowo Soenirman asked the private building managements to put Betawi ornaments, as the city already has a legal basis.
