Traffic Engineering at Construction Sites Is Evaluated Periodically

Jakarta Transportation Dept. is periodically evaluating traffic engineering system at six spots of flyover and underpass construction.

Each project spot is surely different. Its handling continues to be evaluated periodically

Not only that, additional officers to manage traffic also continues to be intensified which aims to minimize congestion at the construction sites.

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Vice Head, Sigit Wijatmoko said periodic coordination along with the police is taken to parse congestion at Pancoran Flyover construction in Cipinang Lontar, Bintaro Permai and UP Mampang, Matraman and RA Kartini. The construction pattern is according to the field condition.

"Each project spot is surely different. Its handling continues to be evaluated periodically," he stated, Saturday (4/22).

He furthered a detour, which means “additional roads using sidewalk” and additional green light duration in each traffic light have been set. There are also six until ten traffic officers alerted to support the police in the field. They will operate in the morning until evening in two shifts.

"During development acceleration and road closure at 11 PM-4 AM, we prepare 20 officers to manage traffic in the field," he finished.
