60 thousand red nile tilapia fingerlings released in Cavalio Reservoir and Kampung Bintaro Reservoir, Pesanggrahan Sub-district, South Jakarta. This is a form of aquatic ecosystem preservation in Jakarta.

"Fish fingerlings releasing purpose is also to increase the productivity of public waters," said Tri Kurniadi, South Jakarta Mayor after releasing the fingerlings, Friday (5/12).

The red nile tilapia fingerlings is the production result of Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept.'s Fish Fingerling Center which located in Ciganjur. Nile tilapia is chosen because have an adaptive skill to live in turbid water.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept. Head, Wahyuni, hopes ecosystem and fish resources in South Jakarta's public waters can be maintained.

"We divide 40 thousand fish fingerlings released in Cavalio Reservoir and 20 thousand in Kampung Bintaro Reservoir. Fish in here should not be taken using net," she closed.
