City Committed to Stabilize Soybean Price

Jakarta Provincial Government committed to stabilize soybean price. According to plan, City will coordinate with Logistic Affairs Board (Bulog) and Ministry of Trade.

Acting Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat predicted soybean price towards this year's fasting month will rise.

"Recently, almost 55 percent stock of soybean, the main ingredient to make tofu and tempe, is import. We will coordinate with Bulog and Ministry of Trade thus soybean price can stable," he said at City Hall, Friday (5/12).

Staple Food Price in West Jakarta Relatively Stable

He also added that ahead this Ramadan, Jakarta Regional Inflation Controlling Team (TPID) already prepared preventive steps to avoid price fluctuations.

"Until this time, staple food prices in Jakarta is relatively stable," he closed.
