Jakarta BPPBJ Working Teams Get Skill Training

Jakarta Procurement of Goods and Services Board (BPPBJ) Working Team get skill training to calculate total asset value, compile, and interpret the specs.

In this stage, team also learned how to calculate total asset cost, why TCA is needed, how to compile and interpret the specs, how to conduct and manage the contract

That intermediate training is held from May 29 to June 2, 2017 on 20th floor, Professional Room, Block H, City Hall, and attended by 28 members of BPPBJ.

Jakarta BPPBJ's Student Potential Development Field Head, Subekti said, this training is given by Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCAI) collaborated with Government Procurement of Goods and Service Agency (LKPP).

He explained that in this week will be trained how to calculate total asset cost.

"Usually, people choose the inexpensive ones when buy something. If expensive, it is considered waste. Whereas, goods character can be different each other," he said, Monday (5/29).

He mentioned that the skill training consists of three stages; basic, intermediate, and advanced. Basic material including how to apply basic procurement principles, how to plan simple procurement, manage procurement document, receive, and evaluate the tender.

For intermediate stage including complex procurement planning and developing, how to estimate the cost and why cost estimating is needed.

"In this stage, team also learned how to calculate total asset cost, why TCA is needed, how to compile and interpret the specs, how to conduct and manage the contract," he added.

Meanwhile, for advanced stage is including strategic procurement's planning and implementation, identifying and manage procurement's risks, manage strategic and complex contract, then to develop and conduct tender evaluation for large-scale procurement.
