"The government must provide container ship. Thus goods transportation cost can be cheaper," expressed Ismer Harahap, Vice Regent of Seribu Islands on Pramuka Island, Monday (6/5).
Seribu Islands PM and PTSP Sub-Dept. Serve 13,811 RequestsHarahap expressed that expensive transportation cost to the mainland was reaching Rp 100-200 thousand per trip. Thus the price disparity in Seribu Islands was higher or between 5-10 percent than the price on the mainland.
Responding on this matter, Seribu Islands Transportation Head, Robert Edward admitted he was ready to realize container ship procurement. Nevertheless, it should be coordinated to the dept. first.
"We'll involve BUMD to suppress transportation cost," he finished.
