KPKP Dept. Improving Animal Product Control

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. will improve animal product control in slaughterhouse (RPH), traditional market, supermarket, importing goods warehouse, and distributor during Ramadan and ahead of Eid.

Besides, we will also control beef and chicken meat price

Jakarta KPKP Dept. Head, Darjamuni said, controlling is run to anticipate animal product that unfit to human consumption such as dead chicken (ayam tiren), mixed meat (oplos), and illegal meat.

"We will control its permit, veterinary control number ownership (NKV), and sanitation and hygiene of the stall. Besides, we will also control beef and chicken meat price," he said, Wednesday (6/7).

C. Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept. Conducted Food Control in Four Traditional Markets

Jakarta KPKP Dept.'s Livestock and Animal Health Division Head, Sri Hartati informed, animal product control will be scheduled from June 8-20. According to preliminary data, there are about 21 animal seller stalls that will be monitored.

"But it could be changed depends on the needs. We will give sanction depends on its violation. For example, we found unfit meat in supermarket, then its NKV will be revoked," he closed.
