HIV/AIDS patients in Jakarta are still sharply increasing every year. There are 24,807 cases of HIV and 6,973 AIDS in 2013. But there were only about 20 thousand cases last year. Based on HIV/AIDS transmittal, the highest case is caused by heterosexual by 646 people (232 HIV and 414 AIDS), drugs injection by 610 people (175 HIV and 435 AIDS), working factor by 352 people (124 HV and 228 AIDS), and housewife by 210 people (73 HIV and 137 AIDS).
Due to this case, Armida added, national KPA made East Jakarta as learning site for HIV/AIDS prevention program in Jakarta. The research is focused in two community health centers in Ciracas and Pasar Rebo Sub-district.
"Those community health centers is chosen due to they have more complete equipment and comprehensive service," she stated.
