Urban Village Office Renovation Must Wait for Tender

West Jakarta Administration plans to renovate five urban village offices and 1 sub-district office, yet it cannot be realized until mid of this year. This is because, the plan is still waiting for tender process conducted by the Goods and Service Service Unit (ULP).

Head of West Jakarta Government Division, Dirhamul Nugraha disclosed that those offices are Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Tambora Urban Village, Kalianyar Urban Village, Tegal Alur Urban Village, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, and Palmerah Sub-District.
"Based on inventory data, the buildings are no longer suitable with standardization of sub-district and urban village offices that must be a four-story and has a land as wide as 700 meters," he expressed, Thursday (6/12).

Moreover, Jakarta Provincial Government wants the PTSP service can be operated in urban village and sub-district offices. While in Palmerah Sub-District office that has six-story must be re-built due to its condition already worrying.
"The fund renovation for one office reaches Rp 4-10 billion," he told.
Although the fund already budgeted, Nugraha stated, his side cannot be sure when the construction can be conducted. This is because, until now, his side is still waiting for tender process.
"But according to plan, we're going to do demolition and renovation this year. We have processed all documents, and just wait for the results. The renovation takes two years," he revealed.
Additionally, his side has also included fund and conducted tender for continued project in six sub-district offices that have been built using the 2013 budget. These offices are Mangga Besar, Krukut, Jelambar, Pegadungan, Meruya Selatan and Kemanggisan, with a budget of Rp 2 billion.
"Hence, we will do demolishment in the near future, thus urban village and sub-district occupants should find a temporary place near the old office," he exclaimed.

Some walls are also mossy and blackened due to seepage of water when rain pours. The floor is already gaping and peeling.Similar condition is also spotted on the second floor in the corner of the building has been filled with cobwebs. To the left which is a sub-district secretariat office and some employees do not look crowded.
Secretary of Palmerah Sub-District, Firmanuddin said such condition has been going on since 2012. But this year, there will be renovation. "The sub-district office is very worrying and causing employees' performance decreasing," he complained.
