8 teams who are the winners at sub-districts level, will articipate at city level of Beduk Festival, West Jakarta, Wednesday (6/21). T he winner will become West Jakarta representative to participate at Jakarta Provincial level.

"I hope our city's winner will win at provincial level," said Anas Effendi, West Jakarta Mayor, when opening Beduk Festival 2017.

Each team consists of five drummers and one person chanting takbir (praise to Allah). They will be given 10 minutes to perform.

Judges will assess how the participants beat the beduk, play its rhythm, and their performance.

"By saying Bismillah, now I officially open the beating drum contest 2017," he closed.
