Fire gutted a Miranda Tai Goei Restaurant located on Jalan Basuki No. 1, RT 005/05, Menteng Urban Village, Friday (6/13). There was no casualty reported in the incident.
"Fire happens at around 12.15 PM and quickly enlarged," expressed a restaurant employee of Ali Sadikin, Friday (6/13).
Fire Destroys Garment Business Building"I was cooking in the kitchen, suddenly the fire came out on the second floor. All employees panicked and immediately jump out to save themselves," he said.
Within 30 minutes, the fire could be controlled after deploying 12 fire trucks of Central Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department to the scene.
Sudarno, Head of Central Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, the cause of fire is allegedly triggered by electricity short-circuit from second floor of the restaurant, which is home to restaurant owner.
