Monas Entrance Ticket Booths to Be Moved

Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will overhaul the Monas management system that is judged worsened because of the rampant of cadgers’ (PKL) presence. One of the concepts is moving the entrance ticket booth to the outside so that everyone who entered Monas certainly to have bought ticket.

According to him, during this time, the entry is calculated if the visitors have entered the gates of Monas crossing and will cross the ticket counter which is divided into tour excursions of Monas court for Rp 10 thousand and Rp 15 thousand when travelers want to climb to the top of the monument. As for the visit to the museum is only charged for Rp 5 thousand. The Monas entrance ticket counter will be moved to the front gate entrance of Monas crossing.

While the tour journey will be divided into two categories. First, touring the monument from the entrance gate and the second is touring the court monument until to the top of the monument.

Monas Ticket Booths Moved for Visitor`s Convenience

"What is meant by Monas is not only the Monas cup or Monas fence. It is an area of 82 hectares," said Basuki, Friday (6/13).

Not only that, the man who is often called Ahok also requested to the Monas manager to impose entry system for members who have registered (membership) so that every visitor can be recorded and have a sense of responsibility for the Monas cleanliness. Later, each member will be charged a fee of Rp 50 thousand per month. As for regular visitors will be charged an entrance fee calculated on the Monas fence entrance of Rp 5 thousand per person.
