Council Chairman will Recommend MRT Project Additional Funds

City Council Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi confirmed that his side will give recommendation of additional funds for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 1 (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI) project continuation as proposed by PT. MRT Jakarta.

But after we check on the field, we consider MRT program needed to be supported

"Initially, we were not given it because we were not yet known its purpose. But after we check on the field, we consider MRT program needed to be supported. I guess we can give a recommendation," he expressed when monitored MRT project in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Monday (7/10).

According to him, additional funds recommendation will be given soon after council gets complete explanation about MRT passenger fare mechanism.

"We must get the detail first. We will ask thus its legislation will clear later," he said.

For information, PT. MRT had already asked council for recommendation letter to add funds Rp 2.5 trillion for phase 1 (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI) and Rp 22.5 trillion for phase 2 (Bundaran HI-Kampung Bandan).
