City Tourism Sector Keeps Being Improved

Improvement of the tourism sector in the capital becomes one of the work programs of the elected Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor, Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno.

It has a great opportunity to contribute substantial revenue to the local treasury

Syncronization Team Member for the elected governor and vice governor, Rikrik Rizkiyana disclosed it is conducted to increase local revenues (PAD).

SKPD and BUMD Must Synergize to Develop Tourism Sector

"Tourism sector improvement that will be done is how to package enjoy Jakarta and re-arrange Seribu Islands as one of the marine tourism destinations," he said, during focus group discussion (FDG) meeting along with SKPD/UKPD in Bappeda's pattern room, Block G, second floor, City Hall, Tuesday (7/11).

Meanwhile, Jakarta Bappeda Head, Tuty Kusumawati stated, tourism sector will become the mainstay of the economy in the capital.

"It has a great opportunity to contribute substantial revenue to the local treasury," she expressed.

She added many tourism potentials that have not been explored optimally for various reasons.

Tuty cited, the tourism investors in Seribu Islands are less interested in investing because of the prevailing spatial arrangements. Building Basic Coefficient (KDB) is still low thus it cannot be compared with Maldives Island.

"This regulation must be reviewed to make Seribu Islands as a leading marine tourism destination in the world," she closed.
