Situ Lembang Park will Be Closed During Reservoir Dredging

During reservoir dredging process, the Situ Lembang Park on Jalan Lembang, Menteng Urban Village, Menteng Sub-district, Central Jakarta will be closed.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede expressed, it is applied to make officers freely carry out the dredging. To optimize, his party plans to bring heavy equipment.

Sedimentation Occurred at Situ Lembang Park Reservoir

"The park will be closed for two months. Nevertheless, we will socialize it first," he stated, Wednesday (7/12).

According to study results by Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. and Water Resources Sub-dept. concluded, the reservoir must be dredged because of sedimentation that affects the death of fish in large quantities.

"The conclusion is the reservoir needs to be dredged. I think it is allowed, as the mud has a lot," he said.
