City to Free Type A Cultural Heritage PBB Tax

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to free type A cultural heritage Land and Building Tax (PBB).
It has been categorized, that is why we decide to free its PBB and give incentives.
This policy was made to give the building owners some incentives because their work in taking care heritage sites.
Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, his side will check all cultural heritage buildings in City first in order to know the recent condition.

He mentioned that cultural heritage building is categorized in 3 types; type A, B, and C. Those three have its own rules for renovation.
"Especially for type A, its original shape is not allowed to be changed," he affirmed.
He also plans to give incentive for type B and type C cultural heritage buildings. For example to give reduction 25 percent for cultural heritage type B PBB tax .
"Currently this policy is still in progress," he closed.
