Herman explained, the additional nutritious food target is toddlers with weight faltering (weight does not increase, or is not wasting and not stunting), and underweight toddlers and malnourished toddlers (not stunting).
"We ensure the growth and health of these dozens of toddlers through health checks using anthropometry kits," he explained.
Together with health workers, he added, his party also provided counseling materials to mothers of toddlers about the importance of providing nutritious food for toddlers.
"Hopefully it will gain mothers knowledge about stunting and how to prevent it, and how to reduce stunting," he added.
One of the mothers, Kokom (35), appreciated the urban village, Puskesmas, and Perumda Pasar Jaya for providing the free additional nutritious food for her toddler.
"It is hoped this program can be continued. We can get better knowledge about nutritious and healthy food for toddler," she said.
