PRJ Monas Chaotic Due to Illegal PKL Invasion

Jakarta Fair conducted in National Monument (Monas) is already ended on Sunday (6/15). In fact, the event's purpose to promote small and medium enterprises under city administration guidance is failed. The event management was overwhelmed to manage illegal street vendors entering the arena.

PRJ Monas Chairman Committee, M Haris Pindratno admitted he is overwhelmed to take care thousands of traders entering PRJ Monas area that make the event seemed chaotic.

“The governor and his vice are helpful promoting small industries in this event. But the purpose was failed due to illegal street vendors,” said Pindratno, Monday (6/16).

Monas jakarta Fair is Free of Charge

Pindratno added that Jakarta Provincial Government prepared 2,780 free booths for small enterprises. The enterprises were firstly participated in a selection. It is the part of promotion.

Previously, acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama claimed the city administration keeps improving Jakarta Fair implementation in order to reduce its disadvantages.

"The implementation will be evaluated. I promise," he stated on Sunday (6/15).

On the first day of Monas Jakarta Fair implementation, there were three Transjakarta shelters could not be used. Those are Balaikota, Monas, and Gambir shelter. The area was used as illegal parking lot.
