City Collaborates With PMJ to Hold Orderly Traffic Month

Jakarta Provincial Government will collaborate with Polda Metro Jaya (PMJ) to hold Orderly Traffic Month activity.

We are still finding the road users who ride against the flow, break through the red light, and motorcycles ridden by more than two people

Together with Orderly Sidewalk Month, this activity will be started in August, 1.

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, it needs to be done to prevent road users violate traffic rules.

Governor Wants 5 Orderly Programs to Be Intensified

"We are still finding the road users who ride against the flow, break through the red light, and motorcycles ridden by more than two people," he expressed, Monday (7/31).

He explained, his side will coordinate directly with Kapolda Metro Jaya to succeed Orderly Traffic Month.

"We coordinate with police for this activity. I will convey it to Police Head (Kapolda) later," he said.

He also asked regional heads, Transportation Dept., up to Jakarta Satpol PP to help police sides for this activity succession.

"This is done simultaneously with Orderly Sidewalk Month activity. Urban village heads, sub-districts heads, Dishub, and Satpol PP should help," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko said, his side will help police side. Especially to control sidewalk area.

"There are 150 priority sidewalk spots to be controlled," he closed.
