Proven Guilty, Transjakarta Bus Driver Arrested

City Police investigator determines Yadi (51), a Transjakarta bus driver as suspect of streak accident in National Museum bus shelter on Monday (6/16). He is assessed failed to control his vehicle and caused an accident.

"There is negligence from the rearmost bus driver. He is positively the suspect," said Rikwanto, City Police Public Relation, Tuesday (6/17).

At this moment, Rikwanto added, the suspect is already arrested for further accident investigation which involved two Kopaja AC buses. "Allegedly the driver was sleepy after watching world cup. But investigation is still running," he added.

Toll Accident Damaged 5 Cars

Previously, City police traffic law enforcement division head Adj. Sr. Cmr. Hindarsono said there were 6 injured passengers of Kopaja B 7611 DG and rushed to Tarakan Hospital, while the injured passengers of Kopaja B 7700 YR were taken Husada Hospital.

As reported earlier, a pile-up collision happened on TransJakarta bus lane on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, precisely before Monas TransJakarta bus shelter, Monday (6/16), around 7.55 AM. The accident involved two TransJakarta buses owned by Damri, with license plate number B 7562 TGA and B 7501 TGA, and two Kopaja buses AC 602 (Ragunan-Monas) B 7611 DG and B 7700 VR
