Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, said that he will develop creative economy concept through newest or old movie screening in residents’ settlements.
RTH is aimed for parks, sport facilities, and movie screening. We work together for national movie screening, so the residents can enjoy it
"Movies of Bing Slamet, Ateng, Benyamin, Rhoma Irama to be played on every village. Movie is one of creative product,” said Basuki at City Hall, Tuesday (6/17).
To realize this plan, City Government is surveying a number of lands in unused residents’ settlement to be bought and transformed into Green Open Space (RTH).
One Roof Transportation Management is Needed, Basuki Says“
RTH is aimed for parks, sport facilities, and movie screening. We work together for national movie screening, so the residents can enjoy it ,” stated Basuki. However, this creative economy concept is new and can be realized if heads of urban villages and sub-districts to have acted like managers who understand the society’s wants. “Therefore I want heads of urban villages and sub-districts to be like manager. If we already have it, they can understand the society’s wants,” added the former Regent of Belitung Timur.
Besides that, the city also plans to transform libraries in City villages which have book system to be e-book basis. “This library is no longer base on book, but e-book since the more people reading, writing, and drawing, the more they are creative,” uttered Basuki.
However, Basuki admitted that this creative opportunity can be realized if the city has many green open space, transportation, and optic fiber. “This is what we want to create. We want Jakarta to be wireless so that people’s creativity can increase. Then we realize people can be creative if they are given a chance,” Basuki completed.
