West Jakarta Muslim Charitable Donations Board (BAZIS) distributed fund of charity, donation, and alms (ZIS) amounting Rp 266 million to 532 honorary teachers and workers at the level of SD, SMP, SMA, and SMK in West Jakarta.

The fund comes from the residents, thus we give back it to the needy. I hope the aid can slightly lighten the burden of honorary workers in West Jakarta

West Jakarta BAZIS Head, Jamhuri, disclosed that from Rp 266 million, each honorary worker gets Rp 500 thousand. The fund itself was collected from the residents through BAZIS.

The fund comes from the residents, thus we give back it to the needy. I hope the aid can slightly lighten the burden of honorary workers in West Jakarta,” he expressed, Wednesday (6/18).

South Jakarta Targeting ZIS Fund Rp 22 Billion This Year

In addition, West Jakarta BAZIS will also distribute fund in a total of Rp 3.1 million to Quran Education (TPA) teachers, Quran teachers, mosque caretakers (marbot), and religious institutions at urban village/sub-district level. The distribution fund is slated to be conducted on upcoming June 25-26 in each sub-district in West Jakarta.

Nuraida (35), one of the honorary teachers, admitted she is grateful over the fund distribution. According to the woman who has served for 10 years, her salary is not enough to meet daily needs of her family with two kids. As a result, she often borrows money from other people.

“I teach at a private elementary school in Kamal. I’ve worked as a teacher for 10 years with a very minimal income. Likewise with my husband who works as a factory worker,” she uttered.
