The utilities setup in the capital will be integrated with the ducting system in order to synergize with the infrastructure development projects undertaken by Jakarta Provincial Government.

We have already agreed and there may be some areas to be piloted

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat disclosed, the synergy has been agreed by the provincial government with state-owned electricity firm PLN and PT Telkom. Thus, all the utilities of both two agencies will not hinder the construction and structuring of infrastructure.

"It has been agreed that building systems related to the procurement of cables or utilities are closely integrated with development. All is included in the ducting system. We have already agreed and there may be some areas to be piloted," he stated, Monday (8/28).

He explained, all this time, the sidewalk development at some spots is still often obstructed by air cable pole belonging to several agencies.

"So, the middle of the sidewalk is made into ducting when Bina Marga does widening, either it's for PLN or Telkom, as a lot of fiber optic operators there," he closed.
