817 Personnel will Be Deployed at Sacrificial Animal Slaughter

817 personnel will be deployed to examine sacrificial animal at animal shelter in Eid al-Adha on Friday (8/1). Personnel needs to ensure the slaughtered animal is worth for consumption or not.

Later on , animal will be checked if it is worth for consumption or not

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. Head, Darjamuni said, personnel from several institutions are deployed thus people are secure to consume meat from sacrificial animals.

"They will be deployed at sacrificial animal slaughter. Later on, animal will be checked if it is worth for consumption or not," he explained, Wednesday (8/30).

6,319 Sacrificial Animals Examined by C. Jakarta KPKP Sub-department

He explained, 817 personnel are taken from KPKP Dept. as many as 100 people, then 325 people from KPKP Sub-dept. in five regions and regency, 300 people from IPB Faculty of Veterinarians (FKH), 50 people from Indonesia Veterinarians Community (PDHI) in Jakarta, and 25 personnel from Ministry of Agriculture.

According to him, his side will conduct laboratory test in slaughterhouse in order to strengthen the examination result. All these sacrificial animal health examinations are free.

"We also remind to do the animal slaughter process well," he closed.
