Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, symbolically deployed examiner personnel for sacrificial animal and its meat at City Hall, Friday (9/1).

Sacrificial animal and meat examiner team has 817 personnel from Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept., Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and Indonesian Veterinary Medicine Association (PDHI). They will be dividedn in five Jakarta regions and Seribu Islands Regency to examine sacrificial animals that will be slaughtered today.

"This examination is done routinely on this Friday and Saturday. This year, there are 300 personnel from IPB and the remaining of 817 personnel are from PDHI and KPKP Dept.," he explained.

He mentioned, this team will examine sacrificial animal's health and ensure it is worth consumed.

"We will destroy any animal with worm disease. We are grateful that until now we are not found any dangerous diseases such as anthrax on sacrificial animal," he closed.
