PAL Jaya will Produce Waste Into Briquettes

Wastewater Management Jaya Regional Enterprise (PD. PAL Jaya) will produce solid waste into briquettes.

Later on , these briquettes can be used for cooking

PD. PAL Jaya President Director, Subekti said, his side is collaborating with PLN Engineering High School (STT) for research.

"It is very possible for us to produce new energy source from this solid waste. Later on, these briquettes can be used for cooking," he said, Monday (9/4).

PD. PAL Jaya Keeps Educating The Importance of Sanitation

He explained, there are lots of solid waste volume both in Duri Kosambi Fecal Sludge Management Installation (IPLT), West Jakarta and Pulogebang, East Jakarta.

"Solid waste is keep increasing thus we must anticipate early by utilizing it more productively," he explained.

Meanwhile, PD. PAL Jaya Administration and Financial Director, Hidayat Sigit Suryanto stated, in recent development, his side can produce briquette consists of 3,500 calories. This number is close to charcoal calories number which is around 4,000 calories.

"It is considered very potential and has economical value. This briquette can be a new income source for company," he expressed.

According to him, PD. PAL Jaya plans to facilitate merchants by giving them briquette stove and briquettes for free in its trial.

"We are prioritizing it for merchants near Duri Kosambi IPLT and Pulogebang IPLT first," he closed.
