Central Jakarta to Make 16 Spots of Urban Farming

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. is targeting 16 spots of urban farming in all sub-districts. Besides adding beauty of the environment, agriculture can also meet the needs of residents.

This year Central Jakarta already has 16 spots of green alley that spread in eight sub-districts

"This year Central Jakarta already has 16 spots of green alley that spread in eight sub-districts," expressed Bayu Sari Hasruti, Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept., Thursday (9/14).

According to him, especially in Kemayoran Sub-district, there are two spots of urban farming, followed by Menteng Gambar has one spot, Cempaka Putih has two spots, Johar Baru has two spots, Sawah Besar has two spots and Tanah Abang has five spots.

Then for the seeds, he continued, there are 4,160 seeds from Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. and 2,000 seeds from Ministry of Agriculture.

"Talk about seeds from sub-dept., we support it to them. Its shipment is from September 11-18, 2017," he closed.
