Trotoarku Program is Targeted Complete in July 2018

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to start Trotoarku program in October 2017 to coincide with car free day (HBKB).

It is kind of massive sidewalk restoration. It is targeted to complete in July 2018

This program will be a sign of massive sidewalk revitalization to start on Jl. Sudirman until Jl. Thamrin.

Jakarta Secretary, Saefulah said, around 3,000 trees will get impacted due to sidewalk revitalization.

October 8, Sidewalk Project at Thamrin-Sudirman Launched

"I am really sorry since there are trees impacted due to sidewalk widening," he expressed, Monday (9/18).

According to him, his side will try not to discard those trees but to keep it in other locations owned by Jakarta Government such as BMW park or seed garden.

"It is kind of massive sidewalk restoration. It is targeted to complete in July 2018," he said.

He added, each sidewalks will have a certain theme. Especially on Jalan Sudirman around Senayan, Indonesia legendary athletes who have world-class achievement will be showed up.

"Assistant in Development and Environment will be the coordinator in Trotoarku program. While Bina Marga Dept. and PT. MRT Jakarta will be leading sector," he closed.
